3.7 MWh Energy Storage Project in Malaysia

Malaysia has strong advantages for solar plus storage projects. The country has high annual solar radiation, averaging 1,500–1,900 kWh/m², and consistent daylight hours throughout the year. Electricity demand is also growing steadily due to industrialization and urbanization.

The 3.7 MWh battery supports these conditions by storing excess solar power during peak sunshine and releasing it when demand is high or weather turns cloudy. This reduces reliance on fossil fuels and helps Malaysia move closer to its renewable energy targets under the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

The project shows how Malaysia’s stable solar resource and rising energy demand make it an ideal location for energy storage solutions.
