Located in Yunnan’s Chuxiong region, this project takes advantage of strong solar radiation and seasonal wind. Mountainous terrain limits local grid capacity, making it challenging to fully use renewable energy produced in the area.
A 600 MWh battery stores excess solar and wind power during high-generation periods and releases it when demand rises or output drops. This reduces wasted energy and helps maintain grid stability, particularly in remote areas.
Modular design and long-duration discharge allow the system to expand or undergo maintenance without affecting overall performance. The project supports Yunnan’s renewable energy goals and demonstrates how independent storage can make the most of local solar and wind resources.
